Introducing Our Managers

Meet our dedicated team at Cornerstone Court who believe in providing exceptional care through servant leadership. We're eager to meet you!

RyLee Mason, Owner/Administrator

As the Owner/Administrator of Cornerstone Court, I have been dedicated to the healthcare industry since 2016. My career began as a caregiver, and over the years, I have progressed through various supervisory roles. In January 2023, by God’s grace, I seized the opportunity to purchase Cornerstone Court and have since been leading with a hands-on approach, having worked in every department from washing dishes to providing care and cleaning rooms.

I hold a high school diploma (2011) and qualifications in NAC, nurse delegation, and a special focus on diabetes. Known for my reliability and keen observation skills, I believe in serving first and leading second. I would never ask anyone to do something I wouldn't do myself, and this approach ensures a cohesive and motivated team, committed to providing the best care possible.

Born and raised in Spokane, I have a deep connection to the community. Outside of work, I love getting outdoors—whether it's hiking, biking, fishing, or swimming, I find great joy and relaxation in nature.

Jamie Van Zuyen, Human Resource Manager

As the Human Resources Manager at Cornerstone Court, I’ve been fortunate to accumulate over 20 years of experience in various facets of medical administration. My career has included roles in chiropractic office management, physical therapy, massage therapy, orthopedics, and patient access supervision at a level two trauma center.

I hold a high school diploma (2003) and a Massage Therapy Certification (2004), and have recently obtained my HRCI-Human Resources Associate Professional Certificate. My strengths lie in building strong relationships and managing conflicts effectively. I aim to balance the organization’s needs with those of our staff, advocating fairly for employees while meeting business objectives. I believe it’s crucial to understand employees' lives beyond the workplace.

On a personal note, I love traveling, learning new things, and cheering on the Green Bay Packers during football season.

Spencer Cain, Resident Care Manager

I am the Resident Care Manager at Cornerstone Court, and I have been proud to be a part of this team for 5 years. My journey at Cornerstone began when I was seeking a more fulfilling occupation. Starting as a caregiver, I worked diligently to serve our community and grow in my career. After about a year, I was invited to join the Supervisor team, embracing the role of a servant leader. This position allowed me to grow and face new challenges, eventually leading to my role as Lead Supervisor, where I provided additional support and oversight to other Supervisors. In 2023, I took on the role of Resident Care Manager.

I am HCA certified, with additional certifications in nurse delegation, diabetes-specific care, CPR, and first aid. I also complete 12 hours of continuing education yearly to keep my HCA certification active. My main area of expertise is working with families, residents, and staff at Cornerstone to ensure all cares are being met and provided. I collaborate closely with the ARNP and RN to monitor residents for changes in their health. My approach to work is detail-oriented and supportive, focusing on organization and accurate, up-to-date information. I strive to provide empathy and teamwork across the board, supporting families, fellow employees, and residents.

On a personal note, I am known for making some tasty food, especially my famous homemade double-baked mac and cheese, which is a holiday favorite. I enjoy cooking new foods, playing guitar, and being out in nature. I am actively involved in the community, checking in daily with residents and staff to address concerns and provide support.

I am the Activities Director at Cornerstone Court, and I’ve been a part of the Management Team since 2019. My journey began when I received my CNA license in 2002, working in a Memory Care unit that sparked my passion for Dementia and Alzheimer’s care. Over the years, I’ve held several roles, including Resident Manager in Adult Family Homes and Resident Care Manager at Cornerstone Court, before running my own Adult Family Home from 2012 until 2019.

As Activities Director, I create and manage an Activity Calendar, schedule entertainers and volunteers, and design activities tailored to residents’ needs, always considering their various stages. I take joy in decorating for holidays and celebrating each resident’s birthday to make them feel special. I hold a high school diploma (1978), CNA certification (2002), Dementia and Mental Health Certificates, and have 22 years of continuing education.
